The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure have changed again, and, this time, the changes are truly significant. Rule 37(e) that deals with sanctions has been completely re-written and Rule 34-the rule that governs responses to document requests now requires a vastly different approach to the historically used boilerplate objections. And, where does cost shifting and proportionality fit in?  Without a solid grasp of the rules, no litigator can succeed in a competitive courtroom and discovery environment. This unique opportunity will allow you to hear from Kansas and Missouri federal judges about how these rule changes will likely impact your practice going forward, and you will be able to hear from judges from both the Kansas and Missouri state courts about how they expect discovery in state court to work.  This is a very important CLE will provide every litigator with the information needed information from the bench to enhance his or her practice by using the new rules to their advantage.
